On 7 September, 2019, Mr. The Hon. Pete Ricketts – the Governor of Nebraska State – led Nebraska State Mission (USA), including 26 officials to visit and work at An Phat Bioplastics JSC – a member of An Phat Holdings.
Welcoming the delegation were the Chairman of An Phat Holdings, An Phat Bioplastics and all senior leaders and employees of the Group.
At the meeting, the Chairman of APH briefly introduced the history of An Phat Bioplastics. Throughout 17 years of construction and development, currently An Phat Bioplastics is the leading company in exporting thin monolayer film in South East Asia. In recent years, An Phat Bioplastics has focused on developing compostable product line, which is called AnEco and derived from starch. This product line serves the daily needs of people and the manufacturing economy such as bags, knives, spoons, forks, fishing nets, agricultural film, … In 2018, An Phat Bioplastics achieved more than VND 8,000 billion in revenue and is expected to reach VND 10,000 billion in 2019.
The visit of the Governor Mr. The Hon. Pete Ricketts opened up a great cooperation opportunity between An Phat Bioplastics and Nebraska State on trade and investment. Nebraska is a state with a very developed agriculture and maize is one of the main products. At present, An Phat Bioplastics is manufacturing and trading many products derived from corn starch, so the ability is huge for the company to research and build a corn starch factory to produce raw material for compostable product line. In addition, An Phat Bioplastics can develop environmentally friendly agricultural films for farms in Nebraska.
The Chairman of An Phat Holdings said: “The meeting with the Nebraska Diplomatic Corps helped us understand more about the policies of the Mid-Western region of the United States. Then, we will make suitable decisions to enter this market in the future. Our goal is expanding the export market to all countries and regions around the world, including the United States. Mr. The Hon. Pete Ricketts – the Governor of Nebraska – said: “We will connect An Phat Holdings with the Nebraska Economic Development Association to expand cooperation between the two sides. Nebraska is the third largest state in the United States for maize production and has a convenient location to transport raw materials to other states or regions in the United States. If An Phat Holdings intends to build a factory in the United States, Nebraska will be a great choice for the Group to have more appropriate cooperation opportunities”.
Taking the delegation to visit the production line, the Chairman of APH introduced the outstanding products such as AnEco compostable and eco-friendly bags, high-quality thin monolayer film of An Phat Bioplastics to the Governor The Hon. Pete Ricketts and all diplomatic officials from Nebraska.
Visiting the modern packaging lines of An Phat Bioplastics, Nebraska leaders appreciated the development model of the Company in particular and An Phat Holdings in general in developing the supporting industry as well as the ability to produce compostable products.
