On 3 November, 2019, at Toong Coworking space No. 8 Trang Thi, Hoan Kiem district, the awarding ceremony of “Space Witch” is organized and sponsored by AnPro. This is a brand of high-tech interior materials of An Cuong Building Materials Joint Stock Company, a member of An Phat Holdings.
The contest “Space Witch” was launched on 21 August, 2019. The contest received more than 200 design ideas nationwide, nearly 8,000 followers and voters on social networks. The competition really creates a campaign to change the perceptions and actions of each person in transforming living space in a positive direction, attracting the attention of professional architects and the whole community.
The contest with total value of VND 1 billion has found its owner with the most valuable prize belonged to Pham Hong Ngoc – Student of Industrial Fine Art University.
Attending the award ceremony were the judges of the contest, representatives of AnPro, guests, press agencies and a large number of contestants attending “Space Witch” this year.
The “Space Witch” contest received positive support from architecture and design training schools such as Hanoi Architecture University, University of Industrial Fine Art, Van Lang University, Ton Duc Thang University, and Ho Chi Minh City Architecture University,… In particular, there was a “9-year-old witch” joining in the contest.
Among the submissions for “Space Witch”, there were many pratical ideas. For example, the idea of renovating a degraded inn for workers; the idea of converting an abandoned factory into a play area for workers, a housing area for the homeless; the idea of turning the old market down into a place to visit “town” cultural or a park on the river banks;… These entries not only carried the wishes of the contestants but also were highly appreciated by the judges for creativity and reality.
